It also assessed relationships between RLS and factors like age and disability. Over 12 months, 150 migraine patients were evaluated at a tertiary care hospital. Out of these patients, 54, or 36%, met the criteria for RLS. Those with RLS were older, averaging 45 years compared to 38 years for others. RLS was more common in migraine patients with aura, at 65%. Patients with RLS also experienced longer migraine durations and greater disability, as measured by the MIDAS questionnaire. Screening for RLS in migraine patients may improve overall treatment strategies.
