Cross-cultural adaptation and measurement properties analysis of the Migraine interictal burden scale-4 in Brazilian Portuguese.

This study focused on adapting and validating the Migraine Interictal Burden Scale-4 for Brazilian Portuguese. Researchers involved 130 adults aged 18 to 55 with migraines. They first translated the scale and then assessed its effectiveness. Participants completed various assessments to measure migraine impact. The results showed that the MIBS-4 was easy to understand and had strong reliability. It also demonstrated good validity, meaning it effectively measures what it is supposed to. The scale correlated well with other established migraine assessments, indicating it can provide useful information. The analysis confirmed that the MIBS-4 has a clear structure and can accurately reflect the burden of migraines in Brazilian Portuguese speakers. Overall, this research suggests that the MIBS-4 is a reliable tool for evaluating migraine impact in this population, which could help improve patient care and treatment strategies.
